Er setzt beides in Bezug, indem er oft auch eine spielerische Komponente einschlie\u00dft. W\u00e4hrend der Ort, das Objekt oder die Fotografie sich \u00e4ndern, bleibt das Stereoskop (3D-Viewer) als Konstante dieser Paarbildungen bestehen. Fixiert auf einem Sockel, auf einer bestimmten H\u00f6he, erinnert der 3D-Viewer an ein Fernglas und dessen herk\u00f6mmliche Funktion: die einer pr\u00e4ziseren Sicht der Dinge. In der Tat l\u00e4sst das \u00abFernglas\u00bb des K\u00fcnstlers eine ver\u00e4nderte, unerwartete Sicht zu, die uns eine andere Wirklichkeit veranschaulicht, eine Wirklichkeit, die au\u00dferhalb des eigenen Erfahrungshorizonts liegt.\r\nIn der Arbeit metaphors in nature untersucht Corinne Rusch in ironischer Weise naheliegende, aber selten beachtete Parallelen zwischen dem menschlichen Wunsch, sich Sch\u00f6nheit und Jugend zu erhalten und dem allt\u00e4glichen Prozess der Pr\u00e4paration von Tierk\u00f6rpern. Die k\u00fcnstliche Konservierung von wilden oder domestizierten Tieren als Ausdruck menschlichen Besitzstrebens. Die dichten Mittelformat-Fotografien scheinen Szenen eines Hinterzimmers eines Tierpr\u00e4parators darzustellen. Inmitten von Tigerstreifen und Glasaugen stehen Frauenk\u00f6rper, allesamt namenlos und eine gewisse Starrheit ausstrahlend.
